Opening Reception for "Merge" Exhibition

“MERGE”  EXHIBIT AT ACG IN OCTOBER

“Merge” a new art exhibit featuring three distinguished regional artists will open on Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at the Artists’ Cooperative Fine Art Gallery (ACG). Works by Gabriella Quiroz of Omaha, Dar VandeVoort of Council Bluffs, and Margie Schimenti of Omaha will be shown and available for purchase at the free gallery, 405 S. 11th Street in Omaha’s historic Old Market. An opening reception is scheduled from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday, October 4. The show will run through October with hours at the free gallery being noon to 6:00 pm on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday and Saturday, the hours are 11:00 am to 10:00 pm.

Gabriella Quiroz is an Omaha-based artist working out of the Hot Shops Art Center in studio #203. Her work has been featured in numerous group showings throughout the city of Omaha and its surrounding areas.  Gabi works primarily in colored pencils and oil painting developing works of symbolic imagery. This, in part with her upbringing and experiences alongside other creative people, has led her to study symbolism and how it differs from society to society, throughout time. Her website is at www.gabriellaquiroz.com, Instagram @pinkpigeonstudio.

Margie  Schimenti has selected mixed media materials for her work. Her current work follows two themes, New York City and Ocean Creatures. The themes are a part of Margie’s personal Journey.

Darlys VandeVoort  is getting out of her comfort zone for this show by diving into some abstract work. Dar finds great joy and challenge in experimenting with different methods and materials. You can find her at the Hot Shops Art Center in studio #215, on her website darzart.com, on instagram #iowadar, on Saatchiart.com under Darlys VandeVoort, or her email darvandevoort@mac.com .
