From the Edge

New work by Dar, Sean Akers, and Duane Adams will be featured at the Artists’ Cooperative Gallery, 405 S. 11th St. in Omaha’s Old Market.
The show will run from Tuesday August 4th to Sunday August 30th, 2020

We will be open from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm Tuesday through Thursday and Sundays, and 11:00 am to 10:00 pm Fridays and Saturdays. Masks are required, and we ask that you maintain social distancing. We will sanitize surfaces often and limit the gallery to 10 visitors at a time.

The work she created for this show varies in subject matter but the commonality is the treatment of the edges, or better yet , the lack of edges. Dar loves “impressionistic art and how so much is left for the viewer to put together. I strive to find that sweet spot.”

Sean Akers - mixed media
Sean has been focusing on more landscapes using his unique designs with wood, metal and paint. He also has created some new wood "quilts" for the show. He also has been working on a few pieces addressing social commentary and issues in the world.

Duane Adams - acrylic painting
New paintings of abstract expressionism. Usually known for representational images these works explore shape. color. texture, lines on a flat surface. For him the adventure was unique and totally satisfying.
