"Color"

Linda Hatfield combines bold complimentary colors, with humorous titles. Her paintings are a combination of Pyrography (wood burning) and acrylic paint applied in layers. Most of her pieces have 3-4 layers of detail in paint and line. “The goal of my work is to have fun creating it, and also provide some fun for the viewer.”

Robbi Eklow creates art quilts (quilts that are meant to Hang on a wall), from fabrics that she has dyed herself. She irons her cut elements on with fusible webbing, and quilts everything on a large sewing machine called a “longarm” She guides the designs by herself, coming up with Patterns as she goes.

She exhibits her quilts and teaches all around the country, at large commercial quilt shows. She has taught in New Zealand, Australia and Canada. She says “quilting has taken her to many places, and made a home for me in Omaha”.
