During the month of October, the Artists Cooperative Gallery will feature the work of two longtime member artists - Dar Vandervoort and George Skuodas. The show runs October 4-30, 2022. Please join us at the opening reception, Friday, October 7, 6 to 9 p.m.
Dar loves the outdoors and animals, and it shows in her work. Her more recent pieces explore a more linear and fanciful style with subject matter close to her heart. She continues to reach outside her comfort zone to experiment, learn, and, especially, play. She loves to say, "There are no mistakes – it’s just another layer of paint,” and, “If you’re not having fun, you’d better get a different brush."
George focuses on creating three-dimensional metal sculptures. What makes them different is that they are made from repurposed metal materials. Generally speaking, he uses an object for a purpose other than its original intended use. When selecting an object, the premise followed is not what the object or combination of objects are, but what they can become.
Our hours are...Tuesday-Thursday 11am-5pm, Friday-Saturday from 11am-10pm, and Sundays 11am-5pm.
