The artwork of Kevin McClay and Dax Curtis Sterner will be featured in an exhibit, Wood & Ink, at the Artists' Cooperative Gallery April 29–June 1. Please join us at the opening reception on Friday, May 2, 6 to 9 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided.
Kevin says, "I've been busy the past months exploring new and old techniques, and working to create new pieces that are impactful and unique. Many of these pieces have been held in my studio on reserve for this show, and I'm excited to finally bring them out into public view. I hope you can find time to visit the gallery, and I look forward to meeting you at our opening reception."
Dax adds, "For this exhibition, I have decided to go a bit back in time. For many years, before I ever thought about putting a brush to canvas or knew what a table saw was, I was trying to recreate the world in black and white. I spent many years working exclusively in pencils and inks, like my heroes who drew comic books and illustrated punk rock albums. However, I have rarely publicly displayed my black and white work, and it has been over a decade since I’ve done so."
