Opening Reception for "Continuum" Exhibition

  • Artists' Cooperative Gallery 405 South 11th Street Omaha, NE 68102 United States (map)

From September 3rd through September29th, the artwork of Inna Kulagina, Marcia Joffe-Bouska and Tom Quest will be featured at the Artists' Cooperative Gallery. The exhibit, titled “Continuum”, considers the intersection of life and art. Please join us at the opening reception on Friday, September 6, 6 to 9 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided.

Inna Kulagina, in describing the work for this show states: “ We create cities, we create politics to prove something one to another- nature doesn’t prove anything- it just exists for US - EDEN is Nature. It has been there from the beginning of times it will be there forever as a planet or some another type of Energy, but…. EVERLASTING.

Love everything that is living, evolving - THE reality as it is: people, flowers, mountains and the oceans - EDEN - my Planet - an amazing gift of God to you and me.”

Marcia Joffe-Bouska’s mixed media artwork is vibrant with color, pattern and texture. Rich in symbolism, it is complex and layered with meaning. Recent work uses “river” as a theme, playing off its varied associations and broad meanings to introduce more personal experiences, observations and history within the context of her more universal investigations of meaning, purpose and life itself.

Tom Quest is using the title of the show "Continuum" to trace the path he has taken since beginning his thirst for art in 1970. He then sets a trajectory for current work and a path into the future.

The Artists' Cooperative Gallery has been showing work from respected area artists since 1975. Members conduct educational and cultural outreach activities, and maintain and staff the gallery. The space features a wide variety of media, including sculpture, weaving, painting, jewelry, ceramics, photography and drawing. These openings provide the public with an opportunity to meet our members and learn more about their art.
