"Be Mine" Exhibition

  • Artists' Cooperative Gallery 405 South 11th Street Omaha, NE 68102 United States (map)

The artwork of George Skuodas and Dar VandeVoort will be featured in an exhibit, Be Mine, at the Artists' Cooperative Gallery Tuesday, February 4 – Sunday, March 2. Please join us at the opening reception on Friday, February 7, 6 to 9 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided.

George Skuodas started his artwork with typical pen, pencil and brushes.  Now his work is entirely 3-D. Construction of the artwork, however, is dependent on materials available – recycled tools, tin cans, vintage air dryers, old cameras, drive-in movie speakers. It is taking common and castoff items and recycling them into artwork.

Dar has been exploring lines and texture while recycling. Playing, experimenting and problem solving in the name of “love.”

Please note that our closing time on Friday and Saturday nights has moved an hour earlier, to 9 p.m. You can check

The Artists' Cooperative Gallery is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2025, showing work from respected area artists since 1975. Members conduct educational and cultural outreach activities, and maintain and staff the gallery. The space features a wide variety of media, including sculpture, weaving, painting, jewelry, ceramics, photography and drawing.
