The artwork of Linda Hatfield and Agneta Gaines will be featured in an exhibit, Grains & Threads, at the Artists' Cooperative Gallery April 1–27. Please join us at the opening reception on Friday, April 4, 6 to 9 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided.

Linda employs bold color and quirky subject matter to illustrate many scenes and situations from everyday life. She frequently uses monster characters to illustrate certain emotions. Her work blends use of a woodburning tool to "draw" the images and acrylic paint. Surfaces include wood panels, boxes and furniture.

Agneta's weaving style is linked to her Swedish background with use of old-fashioned techniques and surface interest. She likes to work with natural fibers and stay open to unusual materials and unexpected treatments of the woven surfaces.

The Artists' Cooperative Gallery is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2025, showing work from respected area artists since 1975. Members conduct educational and cultural outreach activities, and maintain and staff the gallery. The space features a wide variety of media, including sculpture, weaving, painting, jewelry, ceramics, photography and drawing.
