Featuring - Angela Szelag, Nash Bellows, Gabriella Quiroz

Angela Szelag is an Omaha-based silversmith artist currently working out of the Hot Shops Art Center. Her handmade, heirloom quality, sterling silver jewelry is inspired by and designed around the natural beauty of turquoise and other semiprecious stones created by nature. For this show, she will be showcasing an expanded edition to her Elements Collection that launched in March of 2020. The expansion will be featuring several new one-of-a-kind pieces.

Nash Bellows’ “Dreamscapes” are digital collages created using photos of crystals, flora, fauna, and architecture gleaned from the internet. In the exhibit Stars Align, her surreal landscapes are a representation of character and personal identity inspired by the zodiac and the Chinese zodiac.

Gabriella Quiroz is an Omaha-based artist working out of the Hot Shops Art Center. Her work has been featured in numerous group showings throughout the city of Omaha and its surrounding areas. Gabi works primarily colored pencils. For Stars Align she is continuing her exploration of symbolism – focusing on how astrology has affected and implicated multiple meanings to the world around us.
