New Members
Robert Dewaele
Robert Dewaele is a wood and bronze sculptor from Avoca, Iowa. He has been exhibiting his work publically since 1984. He is a current and former member of the Artist's Coop. Sometimes he creates sculptures that combine bronze and wood elements or he creates sculptures that are either all wood or all bronze. The shapes found in nature have a high influence in his designs. Often, he'll think about an idea or expression and ponder how either of those things should look like if they had a physical form. Robert studied at Bellevue University for a number of years and he had a studio at the Hot Shops Art Center in Omaha, Ne. for thirteen years. He also shows at the Burkholder project in Lincoln, Ne. and has placed work in private collections throughout the midwest.
Carolyn Fleming Fisch
Carolyn’s educational background in classical voice, architecture, interior and graphic design gave her a foundation and deep appreciation for the arts. Her inspiration is derived from travels throughout the world, her favorite place being the Sonoran desert. Her objective is to create intrigue. She wants the viewers to approach her one-of-a-kind pieces at first glance. Carolyn’s rare Obvara ceramics are truly a labor of love. This exciting medieval Eastern European clay firing technique pays tribute to the nature of early use of clay. Carolyn especially enjoys seeing the surprising results as it yields visual and tactical results akin to her beloved Southwest desert landscape.

Sue Loyd
Omaha-born Sue Loyd always found joy in art but after majoring in Art at University of Nebraska-Lincoln, was not interested in pursuing a career in teaching and did not consider herself serious enough as an artist to make it her career. Instead her family and faith in the Messiah were most important to her. Nevertheless, Art continued to be evidenced in all her life rolls. Sue is active in plein air painting. Through composition, line and color, her watercolors and acrylic paintings are expressive of thoughts and feelings evoked by the subject or scene.
