During the month of August, the Artists Cooperative Gallery will feature the work of two longtime member artists - Agneta Gaines and Joan Fetter. The show runs August 2nd – 28th, 2022. The opening reception is Friday, August 5, 6 - 9 p.m.

Agneta's work is linked to her Swedish background and heritage – lots of surface interest with the use of old fashioned weaving techniques and with Swedish fibers, either purchased in Sweden or in the US. She also like to work with natural fibers and to be open to unusual materials and unexpected treatments, many with botanical themes. Her woven work has developed into a quest for more interesting surface texture treatments.

Joan's paintings are based on line, color, and form, with an emphasis on color. She hopes her work appears very visible; starting with freehand drawings and continuing as oil on canvas. Subject matter, including animals and flowers, is inspired from her Iowa farm background.

Our hours are...Tuesday-Thursday 11am-5pm, Friday-Saturday from 11am-10pm, and Sundays 11am-5pm.
