April Feature Exhibition

During the month of April, the Artists Cooperative Gallery will feature the work of two member artists – Ann O'Hara and Sue Loyd. The show runs April 4 – April 30, 2023. Please join us at the opening reception on Friday, April 7, 6 to 8 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided.
 

Ann believes that artists are born, not made. What the artist does with that gift depends on his or her ability to accept this truth. She began drawing as soon as she had her own box of crayons and has continued making art her entire life. The pastels you see in this show are all her own experiences — times that she was moved to capture a moment. Every piece in this show reflects a location and a different moment in time that was special to her.

Sue hopes you will see in her paintings the joy and love she sees in the world and experience from the Creator, her family and friends. She paints with plein air artists in Omaha and the Iowa Loess Hills, and frequently carries paints on vacations, and to parks and points of interest. She forces herself to look at the world more closely than when just sight-seeing. She cannot paint without closer examination – to see what is really there.
