"ILLUMINANCE" Opening Reception

  • Artists' Cooperative Gallery 405 South 11th Street Omaha, NE 68102 United States (map)

During the month of June, the Artists' Cooperative Gallery will feature the work of two member artists – Annie Troe and Nash Bellows. The show runs May 30 – July 2, 2023. Please join us at the opening reception on Friday, June 2, 6 to 9 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided.

Annie Troe’s command of color and expressive style will delight and entertain you. Her animal art is a fan favorite and just a bit more popular than her flower paintings. Landscapes round out her favorite themes. Annie has recently been featured in AcrylicWorks 6 & 8 (Artist Magazine/North Light Books) and will be featured this fall in Artist Magazine. Annie was also featured in NOAPS International Spring Show 2022. As an internationally licensed artist, you can find her art on garden flags, holiday cards, puzzles and more. Or, just watch her paint your favorite painting on YouTube. Annie was born and raised in Lincoln Nebraska, resides in Omaha.

Bellows reimagines shapes and landscapes. Her ‘Dreamscapes’ are created digitally from photographs gleaned from the internet and her own digital drawings. Her fantastical landscapes represent places you’d see in a dream — lost memories merging in spaces that could never exist together in the waking world. Her work is centered around themes of the natural and man-made, our relationship to nature through technology, and the perception of High and Low art in both historical and contemporary representations of landscape.
