Wednesday, July 5 - Sunday, July 30.
During the month of July, the Artists' Cooperative Gallery will feature the work of two member artists – Charlene Potter and Inna Kulagina. The show runs July 5–30, 2023. Please join us at the opening reception on Friday, June 7, 6 to 9 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided.
Charlene takes the viewer on a journey into nature, animals, and life through hand-built porcelain sculpture. She also includes human busts and sculptures in her sculpture inventory. She uses mental imagery throughout her artistic process. As she explores and studies every plant, animal, and human being, you – as the viewer – also gain knowledge alongside her. Together, you learn additional information about the different aspects of the natural environment.
Inna's work in this exhibition focuses on the Garden of Eden, which is the story of a perfect place, of supreme happiness, perfect contentment and fulfillment, where everyone is at peace with one another. It is without knowledge of choice and free will, meditation upon good and evil, the conflict. We, and everything around us, are energy – balanced and not balanced. We are given freedom of choice to keep the balance of energy; depending on our actions or deeds.
The Artists' Cooperative Gallery has been showing work from respected area artists since 1975. Members conduct educational and cultural outreach activities, and maintain and staff the gallery. The space features a wide variety of media, including sculpture, weaving, painting, jewelry, ceramics, photography and drawing. These openings provide the public with an opportunity to meet our members and learn more about their art.
