Emerging Artists Exhibition

  • Artists' Cooperative Gallery 405 South 11th Street Omaha, NE 68102 United States (map)

The Artists’ Cooperative Gallery welcomes you to our 2024 Emerging Artists Exhibition, February 27 – March 30. Join us in celebrating these up-and-coming artists at the opening reception on Saturday, March 2, 2–4 p.m.

An “emerging artist” is defined as someone who is early-on in their art career. These eleven artists, who are all local to the Midwest, were selected based upon their high levels of craftsmanship, creativity, and originality. They also represent a wide range of artistic pursuits: drawing in pencil, marker, and ink; painting in watercolors, gouache, oils, and acrylics; printmaking; found-object assemblage; and sculpting in wood, bronze, and ceramics.

Featuring the work of: Lynette Everhart, Jackson Gatzemeyer, Jamie Heidvogel, Brett Hodges, Hayden Johnson, Payton Lofdahl, Spencer Price, Cynthia Smith, Madison Tharnish, Clarissa Weitzel, and Caroline White.

Throughout the month, visitors to the gallery will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite artist in the show – the artist with the most votes by show closing will win the “Best in Show Award”. The prize consists of a three-month apprenticeship with ACG and a space to display their work in the gallery during that time.

Our hours are...Tuesday-Thursday 11am-5pm, Friday-Saturday from 11am-10pm, and Sundays 11am-5pm.

The Artists' Cooperative Gallery has been showing work from respected area artists since 1975. Members conduct educational and cultural outreach activities, and maintain and staff the gallery. The space features a wide variety of media, including sculpture, weaving, painting, jewelry, ceramics, photography and drawing. These openings provide the public with an opportunity to meet our members and learn more about their art.
