Sue Loyd

"I find that I can see the world more clearly when I am drawing or painting. I get a thrill out of trying to capture the beauty of nature on canvas or watercolor paper. Given a thematic assignment, I enjoy the challenge of developing a composition that is meaningful to me, and translates to others. I work primarily in watercolor and acrylics, utilizing line and color to convey emotion.”

Duane Adams

“This show marks my return to oil painting.  It uses a new technique that allows my subconscious mind take over the canvas.  I start with thin glazes of colors that are left to dry.  This is followed by more glazes of color until the canvas leads me to refine and sharpen shapes and areas.  The canvas guides me to the final outcome either naturalistic or abstraction.”
